Coming Soon to a Jazz Fest Near Me.

Salif Keita, to be precise. I may not have much experience of the African continent, but back when I was a student at SOAS, some mates & I would sometimes go to this music hall/bar place which mostly had live African bands. It was amazing and that’s where I got a taste for African music. Well, recently one of my colleagues lent me a few CDs. My fav. is Salif Keita. So I am totally excited by the prospect that he will be here in Ottawa soon. Whohoo. Ottawa, It’s not all bad.

    They’re thinking of using that on the brochure: Ottawa: It’s not all bad.

    Just like “Los Angeles: Less smog than you would think” and “New York: bachelor apartments for under $2,000 a month”.
