Down To Earth
Well, it’s Earth Day, so a song entitled “Down to Earth” seems somewhat appropriate for that purpose. The weather has finally turned around — a bit too much! I have yet to sort out how I’m going to keep cool in the hot month here in Ottawa, so it can’t get too hot too fast. And it has. *sigh*
Meanwhile, I’m still rocking out with the Bathroom Sessions. Some of the listener comments are hilarious, esp. those of the people who haven’t a clue who Ed Robertson/BNL is/are. My favourite being, “Dude, you should be on American Idol.” 
But anyway… it’s Earth Day folks, so get out there and be earthy today and everyday 
… while I work on the Diss.

Believe
Every now and then, you come to the realisation that you’ve got to believe if something is going to get done. I think I’m at that point with Diss. Three weeks of work has helped to give me back my belief — not so much in myself or my abilities, for I had that. No, it’s my belief that if you try you will make a difference. It’s my belief that there are voices in the metanarrative being heard, ever so faintly. And my belief that we can make a [positive] mark on the world if we set our minds to what’s important and try.
I believe. Won’t you join me and believe, too?

Am I the Only One?
Yeah, liking the Barenaked Ladies is practically a national sport for Torontonians of a certain age. And I’m that age. lol. I was lucky enough to meet them once after a concert when I lived in London, years ago. This song is appropriate today for a lot of reasons. Diss is giving me the silent treatment, for one.

P.S. I’m quite liking these Bathroom Sessions. Anyone know if they’re putting a CD out to go with the vids? indeed, would be even cooler if they included some of the regular joes’ video responses of people singing their songs & other songs in the bathroom (Especially this guy’s).
